Why Use An Architect
Building or renovating is a daunting process and it can be difficult to know where to start. With all the options and decisions, you can end up overwhelmed before you even begin! One of the questions we hear a lot is, ‘why use an architect?'
The simple answer is, architects are highly-trained and experienced building and design professionals, who have been trained to design your home for how YOU live.
Working with an architect means you have an expert on your team who can help guide you through the entire process of building or renovating, so you don't have to face it alone.
You wouldn't undertake something complex like surgery without a surgeon (we hope) or defend a half million-dollar court case without trained legal representation, so why would you build or renovate your biggest single investment in your life – your home -without engaging an expert?
An architect's role goes far beyond simply drawing up plans for your new home or reno. Architects work with you to understand what you want, how you live and what you need out of your home or project and determine how to achieve all this within the budget you can afford.
After working with you to develop a design, your architect will also help obtain approvals from council, engage a builder and manage the build of your home to ensure it is built to specification with quality and longevity in mind. These are the kinds of tasks architects handle on a day-to-day basis, so they're prepared to calmly and efficiently deal with any curveballs, saving you the stress and the learning curve!
Working with an ArchiTeam member means you can be confident you're working with a qualified and registered architect, with up-to-date insurances and access to regular professional development opportunities.
