Kennedy Nolan
Kennedy Nolan is a Melbourne practice established in 1999 by Rachel Nolan and Patrick Kennedy, the practice has since grown to include senior practitioners who have been critical in developing the design and ethical culture of the studio. Kennedy Nolan is a curious practice, both in terms of their deep interest in the world and also in being a little odd. The practice works on a diversity of project types which comes out of a preoccupation with design as a problem-solving discipline but also because of a genuine interest in how buildings intersect with places and all the different things people do in them. Increasingly, Kennedy Nolan is interested in how to practice in a way that cares for Country, repairing, reconciling and being positive.
LIAN
LIAN is a Melbourne-based architecture practice exploring responses to Australia's necessary urban transitions - primarily in housing. The practice was established in 2020 by Lisa Garner and Andrej Vodstrcil, following a competition-winning success in the State Government’s 'Future Homes' Competition. LIAN is currently involved in the delivery of a new housing development for Nightingale Housing as well as the first approved demonstration of the Future Homes initiative in Melbourne’s western suburbs. Alongside this, the practice is engaged in a diverse range of projects that include inner-urban multi-residential, council-led housing design research, and residential alterations and additions.
Public Realm LAB - Anna Maskiell
Anna Maskiell is a co-founder of Public Realm Lab, a Footscray based design consultancy that exists to enrich public life. Public Realm Lab works across strategic consulting, engagement and architecture to explore and align strategy, culture and place. Anna is also a Board member of Footscray Community Arts.
Trower Falvo Architects
Trower Falvo Architects is a design focused, award winning practice that celebrates the process of making architecture through building, research and art practice. As a primary team of two, Dayne Trower and Simona Falvo, the practice is fundamentally one of collaboration between both directors, striving to achieve built work that embraces their focus on design through careful observation and meaningful intervention.
