ARCHITEAM DIRECTOR FAREWELLS & INTRODUCTIONS
At the June Board of Director’s meeting Director for Advocacy, the Awards and Research, Zoe Geyer announced that due to work commitments she would be stepping down from the Board at the end of the month. Filling her casual vacancy is ArchiTeam member Jamie Sormann of Foomann
ArchiTeam Cooperative has seen some big changes occur in the last five years, one of which has been the stratospheric rise in the ArchiTeam Awards program – the result of one Director’s hard work and passion to promote our members talent to a broader audience. That one Director is Zoe Geyer who stepped down at the June meeting after 5 years on the ArchiTeam Board of Directors.
During those five years since Zoe joined the Board, ArchiTeam has seen over a 100% increase in submissions into our ArchiTeam Awards program, which has influenced and shaped our membership over that period too. From being a basic submission process of CD-ROMS and hard copy forms to an online programme to upload entries of 150 members work from around the country in 2018.
The Board on behalf of the cooperative, thanked Zoe at the June Director’s meeting for not only her contribution to the ArchiTeam Awards but her tireless efforts managing the Advocacy Portfolio – implementing policy, instigating advocacy@architeam.net.au and pulling together the portfolio’s first ever working group to review and action ideas such as RAsP (Research for Architects in Small Practice).
The Advocacy Working Group Chair Jamie Sormann has agreed to fill the role of casual vacancy. To read more about Jamie please click here. Please make sure you introduce yourself to Jamie at our upcoming events.
