The ArchiTeam Board of Directors is excited to announce the ArchiTeam 2025 Conference Creative Directors Expression of Interest (EOI) is open.
The appointed creative director(s) / Conference Committee will be responsible for the conceptualisation and development of the conference, and will develop an overarching theme for the conference linked to a currently topical subject and appropriate to the objectives of ArchiTeam.
Proposals are sought from individuals or collaborative teams with a concept for the creative direction of the ArchiTeam 2025 Conference.
Thematically the conference should continue with the overall small business focus of previous conferences – Small Practice in Community, Making a Living, Trajectories and Ways of Working, but explore new angles and with a new theme/title.
This focus should differentiate the conference from other Australian architecture conferences, address the needs of ArchiTeam members, and explore speakers from within and outside architecture.
- Small Practice in Community – small practices working collaboratively
- Making a Living - new ideas for small business
- Trajectories – practicing in a time of upheaval (environment and COVID-19)
- Ways of Working; Strength in small Practice - shaping the built environment, from the smallest detail to the broader urban landscape
Additionally, the creative director(s)/ conference committee will also;.
- Develop session topics and subject matter.
- Select speakers.
- Develop a session structure and overall structure of the day
Each individual within the creative director team must be a current member of ArchiTeam and be available for conference meetings and workshops (in Melbourne and/or via Zoom).

Expression of interest submissions must be received by 4.00pm (Melbourne time) on Thursday 30 November 2023.
Interviews, if required, will take place in early December 2023, with the successful creative director being notified by no later than Thursday 14 December.
